Business Background: The Finance Division acts as a strategic partner across business lines. Professionals within the division work closely with the management teams of Citigroup’s many departments, adding value to the firm’s operations through strategic analysis and hands-on participation in planning and in process redesign. The Finance Division is broken down into Treasury, Tax, Controllers, and Strategy & Planning.

The Controllers Division is responsible for a variety of activities related to the Firm’s financial reporting and controls. The division is divided into different areas of specialization where each group features a unique set of responsibilities that include both analytical and accounting roles. Currently, our Treasury Product Control group is seeking an Analyst to join the team.

Job Description:

  • Analyze and report daily P&L for interest rate basis swaps. Treasury enters into interest rate swaps in order to manage their interest rate exposure.

  • Analyze FX P&L on non-USD debt issuances and work with Treasury on hedging the related exposure

  • Communication is extremely important. Daily communication (both written and oral) may be required with Treasury, Traders, Middle Office and other Product Controllers.

Responsibilities include:

A) Primary:

1) Daily P&L-reported in RACE. The products supported include bond instruments, swaps and options.

2) Daily Fx P&L calculation and reported in RACE

B) Secondary:

1) Weekly analysis of Realized P&L of the Structured Portfolio referred to above including Loans.

2) Weekly analysis of Interest on Structured Products.

In additional to the above there will be ADHOC projects

Self -Motivation-the person must perform independent research that requires a strict adherence to deadlines.


  • The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Accounting as well as 2-4 years related experience.

  • Strong accounting skills

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Advanced Excel skills are a must. The use of pivots and spreadsheet tools is a major factor in the success of the candidate.
