DevOps / Technical Analyst role for compliance application functions as liaison between development teams and production support and other global operational or technical groups. The individual focuses on environments stability and ensures that the business features are available for users – takes part in analysis of any issues impacting application acting as Subject Matter Expert and ensures adequate solution is prepared and applied. DevOps / Technical Analyst shares the responsibility for performance, reliability and optimization for all areas of assigned application. Is also responsible for deployment of new versions and runs related communication to both business and technical audiences.

  • Become application Subject Matter Expert – understand the system architecture, infrastructure and functionality to be able to assess feasibility of user requests and impact of discovered issues;

  • Lead problem management related efforts – analyze issues to determine their root cause and impact and work with technical teams to provide solutions and workarounds/tactical solutions to restore service in a timely manner; facilitate communication between all production support levels and technical teams (development, database and other systems specialists); ensure problems and defects are appropriately logged in the central repository;

  • Maintain Knowledge Base – document root cause analysis and possible workarounds;

  • Provide implementation support including but not limited to code deployment and feature verification – take care of deployments coordination, sanity checks, continuous integration setup & administration, configuration changes and release communication;

  • Manage application capacity, availability and configuration and related operational projects – facilitate continuous monitoring of core system functions, take ownership on application infrastructure capacity & availability and manage and document application configuration;

  • Writing and/or reviewing project documentation which may include architecture diagrams, infrastructure diagrams, dataflow diagrams, workflow analysis, regular formal reporting on system performance and health, availability and capacity reports, configuration change management documentation, etc.

  • Work with project managers, developers, QA specialists, DBAs, Infrastructure and other teams to ensure the application meets needs of the business

  • Ensure methodology is followed for the project; provide meaningful input in accordance with company standards and guidelines

Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related work experience Expert analytical skills and 2-3 years of proven experience in DevOps, systems analysis, problem management or application support

  • At least basic technical knowledge (e.g. some programming skills, knowledge of SQL, database design, infrastructure)

  • Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle and ITIL framework (ITIL certificate is a plus)

  • Experience with WCC, BPM, ODM, Jenkins, Unix administration is a plus

  • Financial services experience and related business knowledge is a plus

  • Experience working with a Global team

  • Great communication and organizational skills; fluent English
